Amber alert issued for missing 4-year-old girl and woman last seen in Tamarac area





An Amber Alert was issued on Sunday morning for a 4-year-old girl and a woman last seen with a 43-year-old man, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).

The missing girl and woman — Seraphina Gingles and Mary Gingles — were last seen near the 5800 block of Plum Bay Parkway in Tamarac, the law department said in a release.

According to the release, Seraphina Gingles was last seen wearing light-colored clothing, while Mary Gingles was last seen wearing an orange floral shirt and tan shorts.

The release said that they may be in the company of Nathan Gingles, 43, who was last spotted wearing all-black clothing. The three might be traveling in a 2016 silver BMW X3 SUV, with a Texas tag number reading “5DV2950.”

“If located, DO NOT APPROACH. Contact law enforcement immediately, ” the release said.

According to the release, Seraphina Gingles is described as having blonde hair and brown eyes. She stands at 3 feet tall and weighs around 50 pounds. Mary Gingles has brown hair and brown eyes, stands at 5 feet 2 inches tall, and weighs approximately 100 pounds. Nathan Gingles is described as having brown hair and hazel eyes, standing 6 feet tall, and weighing around 200 pounds.

An Amber Alert is a public notification system in the United States designed to help locate abducted or missing children. Named after Amber Hagerman, a nine-year-old girl abducted and murdered in Arlington, Texas, in 1996. The acronym AMBER stands for America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response.
