Elon Musk has a band of youngsters working for the Department of Government Efficiency who are looking into the federal departments and suggesting ways to cut close. The recent standoff between four DOGE staff and USAID employees finally resulted in Elon Musk announcing the shutting down of the agency. When the DOGE staff were not given access to where they wanted, one of them called Elon Musk who intervened to facilitate them the access.
DOGE staff were also placed at the federal Office of Personnel Management, which sent a mail to all federal workers offering them the deferred resignation program where they will get their salary and all other benefits through September if they resign by February 6.
Elon Musk’s staff members who are now calling the shots behind the scenes are aged between 19 and 24.
Donald Trump was asked whether he had seen Musk’s young aides
At a press conference Tuesday, Donald Trump was asked about the age of Elon Musk’s aides as they are as young as 19 years. “That’s good,” Trump said. “Some are young and some are not young. Some are not young at all. But they found great things,” Trump said. “No, I haven’t seen them,” Trump said when asked if he’s met Musk’s aides. “They work, actually, out of the White House. They’re smart people, unlike what they do in the control towers, where we need smart people. We should use some of them in the control towers, where we were putting people that were actually intellectually deficient.”
Trump earlier allayed fears that Elon Musk would not do anything without the approval of the administration and if there’s any problem, any conflict, the administration would not allow Musk to go near it.
Who is the 19-year-old aide of Elon Musk?
According to reports, Edward Coristine is the youngest on Elon Musk’s team and he is 19. The others are Akash Bobba, 21, Ethan Shaotran, 22, Luke Farritor 23. They have been granted A-suite-level clearance for their work.
