'Don't mess': Musk's warning to DOGE employees threats

Elon Musk on Tuesday responded to a US attorney’s legal support for DOGE employees facing public threats. The whole turmoil began when DOGE employees attempted to access secure systems at USAID. Taking to social media platform X, Musk responded with a warning against those threatening DOGE employees, “Don’t mess with DOGE.”
Ed Martin, the United States attorney for the district of Columbia reached out to tech mogul Elon Musk online, urging him to report any threats that the DOGE employees might have been facing.
He said, “We will not tolerate threats against DOGE workers or law-breaking by the disgruntled.”

He further reassured that they are working with FBI and other law enforcement agencies to investigate the threats targeting DOGE employees.

This major shake up started during an internal conflict at USAID on Saturday when four young tech professionals—Luke Farritor, Edward Coristine, Jeremy Lewin, and Gavin Kliger, visited USAID headquarters multiple times, seeking information from officials.
On Saturday, they attempted to access a highly secure room known as a SCIF, located on the second floor of the Reagan Building. While the documents they sought were not classified, entry to the SCIF requires security clearance.
However, one of them proceeded to call Musk when denied access, and the later warned security officials that he would involve the US Marshals Service if his team was not allowed entry. Following this intervention, they gained access, though Trump team’s Katie Miller clarified that no secret information was involved.
