The Baloch insurgents who hijacked a Pakistani passenger train claimed to have killed all the 214 military hostages as their 48-hour deadline for a deal to swap them with Baloch political prisoners ended on Friday. The Baloch Liberation Army, which rejected the Pakistani army’s claim that the siege had ended, said the government’s “stubbornness” in not heeding its ultimatum forced their hand.
