It isn’t surprising that Elon Musk likes Genghis Khan. Like the Mongol conqueror of the 13th century, Musk is out to conquer — from the electric vehicle market to the final frontier to the political realm. The conquests don’t stop just there. Musk, the world’s richest man, has been vocal about raising more and more kids, very similar to Ghenghis Khan, who fathered hundreds of children. Genghis Khan, who built one of the largest empires in history, has his DNA imprint on 16 million living descendants.
Musk, who is already a father to 12 children, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his fascination with the 13th-century conqueror. “For some reason, I find the history of Genghis Khan particularly interesting,” he wrote, finishing the post with a wink emoji.
Of course, the internet had a field day, drawing comparisons between Musk and Genghis Khan. Both men have a reputation for world domination and a penchant for leaving behind numerous heirs.
GENGHIS KHAN’S WIFE BORTE AND HIS GENETIC LEGACY
Genghis Khan had hundreds of children throughout his empire, spread across Asia and Europe.
By 1206, he had unified the Mongol and Turkic tribes in Mongolia and Siberia, setting the stage for his empire to expand across Asia and Europe. He had four sons and five daughters with his primary wife, Borte, and fathered hundreds of children through various other wives he “acquired” during his conquests.
Some genetic studies have even found that around 8% of men in regions once part of the Mongol Empire carry Y-chromosomes nearly identical to his — potentially leading to16 million living descendants.
ELON MUSK’S 12 CHILDREN FROM FOUR WOMEN?
Musk is also a father to 12 children. His youngest child is five months old. Influencer Ashley St Clair has claimed she is the mother of Musk’s youngest child. Musk has not directly responded to Clair’s claims.
“Whoa,” Musk wrote on X in response to a claim that St. Clair had “plotted for half a decade to ensnare” him. His brief comment came a day after St. Clair made her public revelation, stating she and the Tesla CEO share a child.
He has five children with his first wife, Justine Wilson — twins Vivian and Griffin, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian. With musician Grimes, he has three children: X, Exa Dark Siderael, and Techno Mechanicus. Musk and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis have two twins, Strider and Azure.
However, it is 4-year-old X who Musk might be considering his extension, the person who would carry forward his legacy.
ELON MUSK IS MODERN DAY GENGHIS KHAN, SUGGEST MEMES
As to why Musk likes the Mongol conqueror, the people on the internet had all the answers, and memes followed.
One person joked, “Not sure if this one is true, but regardless, Musk is a modern-day Genghis Khan.”
Another quipped, “500 years from now, the top two most frequently identified ancestors in humanity’s gene pool will be Genghis Khan & Elon Musk.”
Others had fun imagining Musk as the reincarnation of the mighty conqueror, with one saying, “I’d like to revisit the conversation that Elon Musk is the reincarnation of Genghis Khan. Only Genghis Khan had this level of not caring about the women he impregnated.”
Whether or not Musk is channelling his inner Mongol emperor, one thing’s for sure: Both Genghis Khan and Musk share a drive to leave an indelible mark on the world, in ways both epic and highly prolific.
While the internet shared the similarities, Musk’s own post — “For some reason, I find the history of Genghis Khan particularly interesting” — also received interesting comments.
“Except he didn’t have IVF and had to do it the natural way,” one person wrote.
“TikTok and Tartaria..has me questing the great wall. And history,” wrote another.
Among Elon Musk’s pursuits is also one of having unbridled fun on his social media platform X. Though people were commenting on X earlier too, it is Musk himself who has spawned the jokes now in numbers of Genghis Khan’s children.
